The focus is on wine marketing and the transformation of vineyards in Hungary

From the autumn, new individual plans can be submitted for the tender for the conversion of vineyards. In the meantime, a fund of up to HUF 1 billion can be created to support wine marketing, and the new wine market regulations will soon come into force.

The 41st National Wine Competition organized this year (we wrote about it here) at the opening, Minister of Agriculture István Nagy stated that Hungarian winemakers can count on the cooperation and help of the government. According to the press release of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture, the minister indicated that from the autumn it will be possible to submit individual plans to support the restructuring and conversion of vineyards. One of the biggest sources of the sector is subsidies for the purchase of wine machinery and technological equipment. An important initiative of the National Council of Mountain Villages, which also affects all Hungarian winemakers, including the Bács-Kiskun and Csongrád-Csanád county wineries, is to create financial coverage for wine marketing activities with a contribution of one forint per liter for wines produced and intended to be marketed in Hungary. which, together with the subsidies, provides the sector with a HUF 1 billion framework for the realization of marketing goals.
