Report: Pinceszer 2022\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

In May, Vajdahunyad Castle in Budapest was loud with toasts. The Association of Foreign Hungarian Winemakers, which has been operating for 4 years, held its large-scale event, Pinceszer, for the second time. DiBonis Pinc\u00e9szet, Oszk\u00e1r Maurer and Ern\u0151 Sagmeister came to the event from Vojvodina with their wines. Even now, the uniqueness of their wines stands out from the already valuable field.<\/span><\/p>\n

The association was established with 12 members to bring together Hungarian wineries outside the borders of Hungary, thereby promoting joint professional development and to search for and preserve centuries-old traditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The association's first professional event was held in November 2019, but there was a 3-year gap due to the pandemic. Thus, this year's II. Pinceszer was followed by great anticipation in professional circles. Representatives of the wineries also held professional presentations at the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

First of all, at the presentation entitled Faces of the Bakator, the winemakers of the 2017-member Bakator Association, founded in 7, presented their wines made from the Bakator grape variety through their own wines. The founders of the association are Oszk\u00e1r Maurer, L\u00f3r\u00e1nd Heit, Zolt\u00e1n M\u00e1lik, L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Andr\u00e1si, Istv\u00e1n Bencze, Kriszti\u00e1n Sass, Istv\u00e1n Bartos, P\u00e1l Kov\u00e1cs and Lajos Ambrus. An interesting discourse unfolded in relation to which winemaking processes can really reveal the character of the bakator variety. Oszk\u00e1r Maurer, a producer from the Southern Region, presented a beautiful orange wine soaked in skin, but several producers feel that the character of the variety is pushed into the background by this solution. One thing is certain: the variety itself, which has had a serious tradition of cultivation in the southern regions for centuries, can be made in many different styles and in high quality, just like the big varieties.<\/span><\/p>\n

The afternoon was spent in a pleasant atmosphere, you could taste really interesting specialities, such as organic tomato or pineapple wine. However, the lesson learned from the event was that it is gratifying to see and experience that wineries across the border actively participate in the Hungarian wine cycle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
